Congregation Bais Tefilah
Youth Director
Sarah Fuchs, Youth Director
Sarah Fuchs has been a part of the Bais Tefilah family for the last 21 years. She is currently a junior in the Macaulay Honors College at Queens College majoring in Economics and Philosophy. Sarah is planning on attending law school after she graduates. Prior to college, she attended HAFTR followed by Nishmat for a few short months. Afterwards she worked for Charlie Harary. Sarah is very excited to help Bais Tefilah's Youth Department grow!
Adam Ofman, Teen Minyan Director
Adam Ofman is a life-long resident of Woodmere whose family has been a member of the shul for over 20 years. After his high school years in Yeshiva of Far Rockaway, Adam spent a year studying at Yeshivat Sha’alvim in Nof Ayalon, Israel. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Queens College and is currently in his second year at NYU School of Law. Most importantly, he plays shortstop for the shul’s championship-winning softball team.
Youth Programming
SHABBOS MORNING YOUTH GROUPS: Shabbos morning youth groups are available for children 3 years old through sixth grade. Groups begin at 9:00 AM and run through the conclusion of Mussaf. There are separate groups for boys and girls, and the program takes place downstairs in the shul's Simcha Hall building. We are excited about this year's youth groups; we have hired new group leaders and purchased new toys and games.
Children should not bring their own food to groups, as the Shul provides snacks for the children. We are very sensitive to all allergies and make sure to provide nut and dairy free snacks.
To register for groups, please fill out this form and return it to Sarah Fuchs.
